Is popcorn allowed on THM?
Popcorn is totally fine on THM in an “E” setting. Just don’t eat more than 4-5 cups, and don’t drizzle it with butter (unless you’re ok with a crossover, otherwise, keep the butter to under a teaspoon to stay in “E” mode).
What is a fuel pull THM?
A Fuel Pull has very little fat and very little carbs, which forces your body to burn stored fuel. Fats in Fuel Pull meals have the same guidelines as E meals.

Can you eat bananas on THM?
The THM diet allows 45 grams of carbohydrates in an “E” meal and only 4-9 grams of carbohydrates in an “S” meal. (Essentially zero grams of carbohydrates are allowed in an “FP” meal.) Does this mean you can go ahead and eat a ¾ of a banana in an “E” meal or snack and not gain weight? Well, you might, but I can ‘t.
What can you not eat on THM?
There are no food groups excluded in the THM style of eating. No sugar, and no white flour, but most whole foods are included! There are full food lists inside the Trim Healthy Mama books, but all vegetables and fruits are on-plan.
What is an S meal THM?
S stands for Satisfying meals. These are fat-based meals, desserts, or snacks that contain protein and fat, but no sugar and little to no carbs or starches. A good example of an S meal would be: bacon, eggs, peppers fried in butter, and a coffee with cream.
Are apples on THM?
Fruit is most welcome while doing Trim Healthy Mama! You just need to make sure it’s in the right setting. Most fruit is totally acceptable in an E setting. Peaches, apples, mangoes oh my!
Is hummus an S or E THM?
Peanut Powder Hummus is made with low-fat peanut powder instead of high-fat tahini and is the perfect high-protein THM – E veggie dip! Traditionally, hummus is made with chickpeas/garbanzo beans (carbs) and tahini (fat). But, since it contains both carbs and fats, that makes it a “cross-over” food in Trim Healthy Mama.
Is brown rice on THM plan?
Each meal is based around protein, no matter what don’t skip the protein. In these meals many dairy items are allowed including heavy cream and all cheeses. Also, all the non-starchy veggies you want. When you are eating an S meal you will avoid carbs, no brown rice, sweet potatoes or things like that.
